This program is intended to protect the valuable information from unauthorized access. The protection is realized by the file encryption. Instead of using a password, Signature Cryptographer uses the so called key-files for encryption. In that way, the length of the password may amount to the huge sizes (or even exceed the length of the input file, making the encrypted file theoretically unbreakable).

The program's encryption algorithm is based on the "Signature" encryption algorithm, fully described in the online help system. To receive any additional information, feel free to ask your questions in our support forums.

Please, be very careful when choosing a key-file. You should use only those files, in the invariability of which you are 100% sure! Any minor change in the key file would result a full data loss during the decryption. To prevent making unintentional changes in the key-files, you may, for example, mark them as "Read Only". In particular, it is not safe to use Microsoft Word documents (*.doc) and Microsoft Excel worksheets (*.xls) as the key-files. Those programs silently make changes in the open documents even if they are opened for viewing only  and the user didn't choose to save the modifications.
